Today’s game was The Technomancer. I really hate it when I have to leave a not so good review. But this game was not good, it was a waste of time.
I was so frustrated with this game that I couldn’t even play it for more than 20 minutes. The controls are so complicated that I had to have my 15-year-old play because I couldn’t remember/figure out what to do.
This review is mostly from him playing and me watching him play and then us talking about it. I’m going to start with the good part of the game before I start bashing it.
The story…Yes, the story is the only part of this game I (or my son) found remotely good. The voices aren’t the greatest, but the actual story line is pretty good and possibly the only reason why we would keep playing.
Now onto the not so good parts of the game. The controls I’ve already talked about, so I will spare you more on that. But let’s talk about the graphics. They are choppy and not that great to begin with. At times you get a glimpse of what they were trying to do but then it goes grainy and you realize their hopes were higher than their abilities.
Is it an ok game for kids? I say absolutely not. I only let my kid play while I was watching. It says there’s sexual content (we didn’t see any), but there’s a lot of bad language in it.
Am I leaving on my Xbox? I’m pretty sure you already can guess the answer to this but just in case, no I’m not leaving it on there.
